WHY US
Bathroom resurfacing can add value if you use professionals.
The resurfacing industry is confusing for most people.
Putting 'paint' product on my bathroom walls, floor, bath ????
I agree this can end up in tears and you pay twice if it's done incorrectly.
There are 2 reasons that the work doesn't last.
Firstly before applying epoxy product in bathrooms the surface needs the correct preparation. This process is very specific and needs diligence to ensure it has been done correctly. This stage is often short-circuited because it is hard work, needs the correct tools and products, and takes time, and often the consumer doesn't want to pay for it.
At Mr Tubs and Tiles we will not compromise this.
The second and biggest problem is that the bathroom area is challenging for most products on the market.
An applicator can be diligent in the preparation stage but if they don't have an advanced product specifically made for bathrooms their work will not last.
Bathrooms are wet, damp areas. The surface of the tiles, baths, vanities are slippery. You have sudden temperature change wherby hot water is landing on cold surface. You have lights in the bathroom that causes product to go yellow.
Bathrooms are high use water areas with a lot of different chemicals being used in this area. Most product on the market doesn't cope well with these conditions even if they say they do.
Furthermore in these wet areas you want your resurfacer to use a product that is water resistant, and many of the products used are not water resistant. Our product has an element of rubber in it which gives it its water resistant characteristic; and over time it turns almost porcelain-like.
Also to get a strong, water resistant coat that acts as a barrier to the water this coat needs to be applied generously. We apply these coats with our special rollers getting into the grout lines which makes the coat and the bonding even stronger.
A lot of products are ok for concrete porous surfaces but when it comes to a non-porous slippery surface like a bathroom tile or a bathtub only a specialised product made for bathrooms works.
So a product used for bathroom resurfacing has to be water resistant and have a good bonding ability and cope with all the other conditions of the bathroom area, and in all our years of experience we have not seen many of these products on the market.
Spraying wall tiles is also not as good as rolling wall tiles. Spraying doesn't allow for double or triple coats and cannot fill grout lines like rolling does.
Rolling is therefore stronger than spraying.
Mr Tubs and Tiles does have it's own exclusive advanced epoxy product with a UV protection, designed specially for bathrooms over 40 years. We roll the product rather than spray and this allows us to apply at least 2 coats which means it's stronger and we can fill into the grout lines and our product does bond and stick both to the tile, the grout lines, baths and vanities and more.
When we have completed your work we know its going to last.
Do it once Do it right.

Resurfacing is a great way to make your bathroom look new and clean again without the need for the mess, time and expense that goes with bathroom renovation.
Mr Tubs and Tiles uses only the most advanced product and our preparation is meticulous so that when we have completed your work we know it looks good and will last.
Mr Tubs and Tiles specialises in bathroom resurfacing.
We resurface wall tiles, floor tiles, baths and vanities.
We also do chip repairs and bath and vanity repairs. We will repair the damage and match as closely as possible the colour and then fine spray our epoxy over the repair.
We repair and remove rust to baths. First we repair the rust and then we resurface the area with our epoxy.
Another one of our products which is a specialty of Mr Tubs and Tiles is our lay-over-lock in floor tile that goes over the existing bathroom floor tiles. They are waterproof, slip resistant, and hard wearing.
Our lay-over-lock in floor tile has a rubber backing and is soft on the foot and not cold like tiles.
Mr Tubs and Tiles also offers a re-grouting service which goes hand-in-hand with our tile resurfacing especially as sometimes showers, walls and floors need to be re-grouted first to enhance the waterproofing integrity of the area.
